There were 76 military clashes on the front line during the day in Ukraine. The aggressor attempted to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in two directions in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy carried out 16 missile and 130 aviation strikes and conducted 65 shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks.
During the night, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine using 27 UAVs of the Shahed type. All strike drones were destroyed by the forces and means of Ukrainian air defense.
During the past day, airstrikes hit the settlements of Lukashivka, Dmytrivka in the Chernihiv region; Oleksandrivka, Ponomarenky, Romankiv, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka in the Sumy region; Lyptsi, Borschova, Vilcha in the Kharkiv region; Rozdolivka, New York, Berdychi, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Prohres, Semenivka, Zhelanne, Novooleksandrivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Vilne Pole, Storozheve, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; Malynivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Approximately 145 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman direction, defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks near the settlements of Terny, Yampolivka, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted to break through our troops' defense.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks near the settlements of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our military continues to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vodiane in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted 24 times to break through our troops' defense.
In the Orikhiv direction, the defense forces repelled 7 aggressor attacks near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; Roboryne, and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy is not abandoning its intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the past day, one unsuccessful assault on our troops' positions was attempted.
