Scouts from two Champions League teams watched £40m Newcastle star this weekend, they’re very keen

Newcastle United are again at risk of losing one of their star players as two elite European sides were watching over him once more this weekend.

It’s still relatively new for Newcastle to have teams be envious of the talent that they posses following some astute acquisitions under the new regime in the last two years and they’re desperate to hold onto them.

Now, a new report from HITC claims that Bruno Guimaraes was again the focus of Real Madrid and PSG scouts who were watching on as Manchester City dumped Newcastle out of the FA Cup.

Latest update on Bruno’s future at Newcastle

Bruno is a very special and unique talent who is the heartbeat of Newcastle’s midfield at the moment and to lose him would be a huge blow to both the team and the fans with whom he has a great connection with.

There have been a number of reports linking him to Real Madrid and PSG in the last few months, so the interest is certainly there, but it’s not believed that there’s been any formal bids made for the £40m signing.

It’s easy to see why such huge European clubs would be attracted to a talent like him, even Pep Guardiola, arguably the greatest manager of this era, was in awe of Bruno prior to facing him this weekend.

It’s rumoured that there is a £100m release clause in his contract, though the details of it and how it would work are unclear and Newcastle remain intent on keeping him at St James’ Park.

Guimaraes has tough to decision to make on his future

Bruno has the ability to go to the very top in football he’s that good, but right now Newcastle are on a long journey to get their and the midfielder may not be able to wait until they finally get back in the Champions League.

It looks like they may not even be in Europe next season with the team stranded in mid table at the moment after a disappointing defeat to Chelsea last week.

Playing against some of the top teams is imperative for players like Bruno, so he’s got a big decision to make as to whether he commits his future to helping push Newcastle back to the top or if he looks to find his big move as soon as possible.

Nobody could possible fault him for seeking out a new club after all he’s given the Geordies, but it wouldn’t make his departure any less difficult to deal with both emotionally and as a team.
