Journalist now thinks Arsenal will sell 'absurd' 21-year-old talent this summer

Arsenal are reportedly expected to sell Mika Biereth this season despite the striker thriving out on loan with the likes of Motherwell and Sturm Graz.

The 21-year-old striker this weekend bagged a brace as Biereth brought his tally to the season to 14 in all competitions, with the attacker also claiming six assists.

With Biereth scoring more goals this season than the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, the forward could have been included in Mikel Arteta’s plans for next season, especially if Eddie Nketiah is sold.

However, according to journalist James McNicholas, there is an expectation that Biereth will be sold, with the forward likely to attract major interest heading into the summer transfer window.

Indeed, Biereth’s form has shown that the youngster is good enough to star in a major European league, and Arsenal could find themselves in the money if the Dane continues to score between now and the end of the season.

McNicholas said on Biereth’s future at Arsenal: “He’s scored goals all his life. When we signed him from Fulham he was the top goalscorer in the division (U-18 Premier League).

“He scored an absurd amount of goals, he’s a really good solid centre-forward player, he’s 21 now, but I don’t think he will come back, I think he’ll be sold.”

Arsenal’s summer looks set to be defined by who the Gunners sell rather than who they sign, with a number of big-name players expected to be offloaded.

And Biereth could be one such player who Arsenal will sell this summer, with the 21-year-old proving that he is ready for the senior game and to take the next step in his career by leaving north London.

With Biereth impressing in Scotland and now Austria, Arsenal could make some serious cash by choosing to sell the striker this summer, and the forward himself might be open to leaving as well.
