Bruno Fernandes has headed off on international duty with Portugal, fresh off the heroics from Sunday evening.
Manchester United‘s dramatic 4-3 victory over Liverpool was an incredible moment with Fernandes putting in a real captain performance, playing at centre-back for a large spell of the game.
Fernandes’ attention will now be on his latest international call-up, where he could be on a secret mission to put in a good word for Sir JIm Ratcliffe with Joao Neves, with the 19-year-old a target this summer.

As the summer transfer window fast approaches, Fernandes has spoken about a player who is set to be among United’s top targets, Joao Neves.
Talking with Sport TV, Fernandes discussed the links between United and Neves.
“I don’t know if United rumours are true, but I know he is ready for that big jump.
“He is an excellent player, he’s with the National team… that’s also why the big clubs are after him”, with Manchester City named as an interested party along with United, Neves should be a top priority.

This summer, it’s widely accepted that United need to sign a midfielder who could be the perfect partner to Kobbie Mainoo.
Looking at the options, Neves is among the best and we’ve suggested on multiple occasions he’d form a formidable partnership with Mainoo.
Neves is having a tremendous season with Benfica this campaign, and his stock is only continuing to rise.
Signing Neves would lock down the midfield for the next decade and could solve United’s problems in the position.
A strong all-round midfielder capable of attacking and defending, Neves could be perfect in the pivot and we assume he’ll definitely be an option this summer.
