Richard Keys has now hit back at a Nottingham Forest fan who criticised him on X. This came after the pundit was proved right regarding the financial situation at the City Ground.
Keys felt Forest were taking the wrong approach after a hefty transfer spree following promotion in 2022. Following yesterday’s four-point deduction, it would appear the pundit saw this coming a mile off.
OneForest fan took offence to the comments that Keys made and the BeIN Sports host hit back with a defiant message on X.

Well, it would appear as though Keys has taken a firm told you so stance on this one. Forest have now slipped into the relegation zone and the team simply must start winning football matches.
Keys stuck up for Forest a fortnight ago, slating Paul Tierney for his part in the defeat the Reds suffered to Liverpool. Now, he’s back on the offensive with a Forest fan in his sights this time.
After a Reds supporter asked him to stop going on about the Forest situation, Keys fought his corner. He said on X: “I’m not bleating. You Forest fans are. And I’ve got a lot of sympathy for you – but you hammered me when I pointed out this would be coming down the line. There’s an argument you got off lightly.”
Keys does have a point
As much as it’s not nice to admit, Keys was right. He saw this situation coming a mile off and ultimately, Forest have to make sure this is merely a one-off.
The recruitment at the City Ground has been pretty scattergun since promotion. Forest have added 42 players to their squad and some of those have made little to zero impact.
Frankly, that is ridiculous to say the least and this madness has to cease once the Reds get to the end of the season – regardless of what division Forest find themselves in.
In our view, this is an example of one Forest fan now wishing to admit defeat. It’s never nice when the team you support drops the ball but with this points deduction, Keys is definitely right about the Forest situation.
