‘There’s a chance’… When Manor Solomon could return from injury for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon has undergone another round of surgery this week on his knee injury.

The 24-year-old has now been seen in a Spurs shirt since September in the home victory over Liverpool.

And there will now be major questions marks as to whether this means his season is now finished in north London.

Manor Solomon injury news

On Wednesday, the club announced Manor Solomon had received further surgery on his meniscus issue in his right knee.

The operation on Tuesday is the third round Solomon has undergone since picking up the issue earlier in the season.

His game time has halted since the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Jurgen Klopp’s side, but Alasdair Gold has provided an update.

Taking to X, the journalist has revealed there is a hope that the Israeli winger could potentially return before the end of the term.

He said: ‘Understand there’s a chance Manor Solomon could be back training just before the season ends after minor meniscus surgery on his right knee yesterday, but there’s no rush for him to be back for this campaign with the club looking for him to be fully fit and ready for pre-season.’

What James Maddison said in support of Manor Solomon

It will have been an extremely frustrating season for Solomon who had actually made quite a bright start to life in a Spurs shirt.

On his first start – which came against Burnley – Solomon was able to provide Heung-min Son with two assists.

Solomon did then feature three more times under Ange Postecoglou before sustaining the injury which has kept him out since.

The winger provided a message to the Spurs fans on his injury just a few days ago.

And James Maddison was one Spurs player who responded with his support having suffered his own injury issues this season.

He said: “Can’t wait to have you back on the pitch brother”.

Spurs are already being linked with potential additions out wide ahead of the summer transfer window.

So the long-term injury may not have done Solomon any favours leading into the new campaign.

But he could certainly prove a useful option for Postecoglou as the Lilywhites look set to play European football of some form next season.

He may not uproot Son from his starting spot, but he has plenty of European experience under his belt to potentially offer an option from the bench.
