Report: 'World-class' Tottenham player misses out on international training session today

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison is currently on international duty with Brazil this month.

The Spurs attacking talent has been called up to the Selecao squad for their March friendlies against England and Spain.

Richarlison will be hoping to make the most of his return to form following his groin surgery to make a similar impact for Brazil.

On Thursday, TNT Sports Brasil claimed on their X account that the Tottenham star missed out on the five-time World Cup winners’ latest training session.

However, the report suggests it’s nothing bad, with Richarlison apparently being left out due to ‘load control’.

Richarlison has been in great form after his groin surgery last year, but he has since had another spell on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old has missed out on several Tottenham games due to a knee injury, though he returned in the 3-0 loss to Fulham last time out.

With that in mind, it’s good to see Brazil take precautions over the ‘world-class‘ Spurs player.

The Selecao are next in action on Saturday evening when they face England at Wembley, before taking on Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

Tottenham’s first game after the international break is a Premier League home meeting against Luton Town on Saturday 30 March.
