Liverpool have had some tremendously talented players over the last few years under Jurgen Klopp.
Superstars like Mo Salah, Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk have been pillars of the Klopp-era and rightly get lauded for their performances.
Others, such as Joel Matip, Andy Robertson and even Diogo Jota nowadays, perhaps go a bit under the radar for their contributions.
Of course, assembling such a squad has meant some wheeling and dealing over the years. A number of youngsters have been sold by Liverpool to bring money in. Notably, Rhian Brewster signing for Sheffield United for around £20m.
Some of those young players have gone on to have big successes elsewhere. Harry Wilson is one of those.
Wilson was sold by Liverpool for just £12m in 2022 as the midfielder finally moved onto Fulham permanently after a number of loan spells.
And judging by his latest display for Wales last night, it looks like Wilson is coming of age.

Of course, players come and go and at a big club like Liverpool, sometimes you have to move on to further your career.
With Harry Wilson, it looks like that’s the exact route he is taking. The winger/midfielder has been in fine form for Fulham this season and he took that form into the international stage with Wales last night.
Robert Page’s side hammered Finland. And Wilson was absolutely key.
Wilson got himself two assists in the first half before eventually being taken off in the 90th minute to a standing ovation. Indeed, Wales Online lauded Wilson as their man of the match, giving him a 9/10 for his performance.
“Was at the heart of so much positivity for Wales and orchestrated the attack expertly. His shot was saved for David Brooks’ goal and he set up a flurry of further chances. Had a big opportunity to get on the score sheet himself but slotted his 20-yard effort wide,” they wrote.
For Liverpool, then, it might be a case of looking on at Wilson simply with pride, knowing they played a part in his development.
However, there might also be an element of regret in there. Given last summer saw them spend a fortune to rebuild their midfield and with continued speculation over Mo Salah’s future, you can’t help but feel Wilson could have played a part.
Jurgen Klopp won’t have many regrets – if any – since being Reds boss. But seeing how well Harry Wilson is doing just now might just eat away at him a tiny bit.
