When he was 11 a car hit him at 90mph while he was on his bike, leaving him in a coma for six weeks and his parents were told to expect the worse.

When he woke from my coma he had to relearn everything again and was told he would not walk again.

However, after a year in a wheelchair, he did walk again and has trained as a personal trainer to help others achieve their goals.

He said: “I run because I feel as though I am proving all the people wrong who said I would never walk again and I feel I don’t have a disability when I run.

“I am raising money for Headway the brain injury charity when I run the London Marathon because they have been and continue to big part of my recovery.

“All I want to do with my life is inspire and help other people because if it wasn’t for people helping me I wouldn’t be where I am now in life.”
