Report: Club identify potential replacement for £37m Crystal Palace target after talk of a January bid

Crystal Palace may be handed a boost in the hopes of signing a £37m target this summer as the club identify his replacement.

The priority this summer for Crystal Palace seems simple, to sign a player capable of replicating the excellence that could be lost through Michael Olise‘s exit.

Jaden Philogene is one player who’s been linked and could be a really decent signing this summer, but there’s one name who could be absolutely perfect.

Matias Soule is the one who’d be the ideal addition this summer, with a price tag of £37m being quoted recently.

Now, Palace have been handed a boost in their hopes of signing him, after concerns that he would be tempted to stay in the Allianz Stadium.

The latest report however points out that he may not have a place at Juventus.

Juventus eyeing up Matias Soule’s replacement already

Juventus have now been linked with signing a new right-winger, which could leave Palace target Soule without a place in Turin.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are now looking into the signing of Mason Greenwood this summer, with his La Liga form with Getafe drawing admirers across Europe.

Juventus will likely need to battle Barcelona in order to sign the 22-year-old and if this is the case Dougie Freedman will have his fingers crossed that it’s Juventus who win the race.

But it would be for selfish reasons, with that move happening would give the Turin side a surplus of right-wingers and Soule looking for an exit.

Soule shows Crystal Palace how good he is for Argentina U23s

After an incredible campaign with Frosinone which has left Soule a top target for Palace, he’s just shown once again how good he is with an incredible finish against Mexico

Soule managed to turn the ball into the back of the net with one of the most delightful touches you’ll see this year.

The more we see of Soule, the more we understand just why Freedman seems so desperate to bring him to Selhurst Park.

It would be sensible to assume that this summer will see Palace renew efforts to sign him after a bid was rejected in January.
