Arsenal have already seen Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Magalhaes withdraw from national team duty with injuries, even if they are not thought to be a doubt for Manchester City.

Meanwhile Ten Hag watched 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo impress on his brief England debut yesterday, one that suggested a bigger role is waiting in the near future.

And whilst Arsenal fans wouldn’t mind seeing Declan Rice rested against Belgium on Tuesday, United fans would surely love to see Mainoo start.

All that being said, Arsenal youngster Chidozie Obi-Martin, who is currently away with Denmark’s youth team, has been sharing how he idolises United’s Rasmus Hojlund.

The exciting 16-year-old, who has been making waves with his goal-scoring, spoke to Bold in Denmark during the international break and was asked who he sees as a role model in the national team set up.

Arsenal youngster Chidozie Obi-Martin says United striker Rasmus Hojlund is his idol

There seemed little doubt in Obi-Martin’s mind, who said the £64m-striker was so ‘strong and powerful’.

The youngster explained: “I really like Rasmus Hojlund. He is strong and powerful, so you can learn a lot from him.

“At the start he didn’t score that much for United, but now he has really found his form.

“He is left-footed, I am right-footed, but we can both score goals.”

Of course, the Arsenal youngster could probably learn a lot from how Hojlund overcame some early frustrations at United this season.

Although he didn’t quite look fully match-sharp against Liverpool, having just returned from injury, Hojlund has been playing a massive role this season.

Ten Hag can now lean on a 21-year-old who has seemingly solved their mission to find a striker who can deliver week in, week out.

And whilst Obi-Martin has been freely scoring in Arsenal’s youth categories, it will be a different challenge when he reaches senior football.

All that being said, Obi-Martin has also recently been speaking about his Arsenal future.
