'Very, very good': Kyle Walker says he's been so impressed by 'incredible' Arsenal star for a number of years

Kyle Walker has suggested that Arsenal have an ‘incredible’ player in their ranks.

Arsenal have become a different animal in the last couple of years. Mikel Arteta’s side went into the international break top of the Premier League, looking to clear the hurdle which proved to be just a little too big for them last year.

In truth, Arsenal appear to have such impressive depth all over the pitch. David Raya has silenced his doubters as the season has gone on. Ben White has become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League. And Kai Havertz looks like a different player to the one who left Chelsea.

But of course, one constant for Arsenal over the last few years has been the form of Bukayo Saka. Saka probably benefitted from the Gunners being in a real rut when he emerged into the first-team.

Kyle Walker says Arsenal player is incredible

But clearly, it was inevitable that he would become a key man whatever happened around him. He has now been directly involved in 107 goals in 216 games in all competitions for Arsenal.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Kyle Walker insisted that Phil Foden is the best young player he has ever played alongside. But he added that he has been so impressed by Saka for both club and country.

“100%,” he said, when asked about Foden. “But I think B’s incredible. I think B is very good as well. As a direct winger, he’s very, very, very good. And I think, for what he’s done for England, at such a young age, his stats are very good for England.”

Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden are future superstars

It has appeared at times that Saka was slightly out of form this season. And yet, he went into this international break with 16 goals and had contributed 12 assists across the Premier League and the Champions League.

His consistency has arguably been the most remarkable thing about Saka. Arsenal have only been title contenders again for a couple of years. But the 22-year-old has been outstanding for a lot longer.

England are very lucky to have so much quality in attacking areas in the shape of Saka and Foden. And obviously, there are other superstars in the likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.

Walker obviously puts Foden ahead of Saka. But you could not argue if others opted for the Arsenal man instead.
