Report: Premier League clubs are convinced Chelsea will sell ‘priceless’ player this summer

Reports have claimed that a number of top Premier League sides are convinced that Chelsea will part ways with one big player this summer.

According to the Mail Online, they reckon the financial issues surrounding the club will see them cash in on a player whose contract is set to expire in just over a year’s time.

It is expected that Chelsea will have to sell this summer before they can spend big again in the upcoming transfer window.

For this reason, there may be an appetite to sell players who are homegrown, due to them registering as pure profit as far as financial fair play is concerned.

Conor Gallagher has proven to be one of the most important players in the squad since Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager.

Premier League sides think Gallagher will be sold

He described the England international as ‘priceless’ earlier this season, and has continued to build his midfield around him as appose to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

However, this has not put to an end reports that he could be on the move at the end of the season, with a number of top clubs seemingly interested in a deal.

It has now been claimed that they are of the belief that the Blues are willing to sell him in order to continue with their ambitious project of signing top players.

Chelsea want to sign a striker

It has been reported previously that Chelsea are keen to address the striker position at the end of the season, and would need to spend big money in order to bring in one of their top targets.

They have been linked with Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres after the duo have emerged as two of the top forwards in Europe, however are aware that they will face competition from some of Europe’s elite for either of their signatures.
