Cambridge City bring in former St Albans City, Braintree Town and Hitchin Town Treymane Charles from Barwell

Cambridge City manager Robbie Nightingale has boosted his attacking options for the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division run-in.

Treymane Charles has agreed to join the Lilywhites for the remainder of the campaign, having arrived from Step 3 outfit Barwell.

Charles has played for a host of higher-level clubs throughout his non-league career, including Braintree Town, St Albans City and Hitchin Town.

A post on City’s X feed read: “We are delighted to welcome Treymane Charles to the club for the remainder of the season. Trey has been a prolific goalscorer throughout his career and joins us from Step 3 Barwell.”

The forward could make his debut for City during tomorrow night’s trip to bottom-of-the-table AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Nightingale’s men head to north Northamptonshire having lost just one of their last four matches in all competitions.
