Jude Bellingham wowed by Nottingham Forest star and he's raved about him on Instagram

Nottingham Forest forward Giovanni Reyna was in fine form last night for the USMNT and now a world-class England star has raved about him on Instagram.

Reyna hasn’t been getting a game at Forest but last night he got rave reviews on the international stage. The USMNT beat Mexico 2-0 to lift the Concacaf Nations League title.

The 21-year-old was a pretty decent loan signing in January when Forest were trying to cut their cloth accordingly. However, despite pushing to land him from Dortmund, Nuno Espirito Santo has hardly used him.

It’s proving a complete and utter mystery why the Forest head coach doesn’t want to use Reyna. There have been some games where he’s not even made the bench and last night’s showing makes a mockery of that.

The youngster has made 121 appearances for Dortmund during his career. As a result, Reyna is hardly inexperienced and his latest showing caught the eye of a former teammate of his.

What Jude Bellingham posted to Forest star Giovanni Reyna

Well, the two wonderkids of European football played alongside each other at Dortmund. Bellingham moved to Real Madrid in the summer, however, with Reyna heading to Forest in January after falling down the pecking order.

Clearly, the England star is a big fan of Reyna. His comment on the player’s Instagram suggests that he’s not surprised that the talented forward smashed it on the international stage.

Shortly after Forest star Reyna has helped the USMNT to a famous win – and more silverware – Bellingham simply posted on social media: “Cream always rises to the top.”

Reyna will be hoping that last night’s showing can kick-start something at Forest. Indeed, he’s definitely given Espirito Santo something to think about ahead of the weekend.

Reyna must get City Ground chance

The player’s goal last night was class. In terms of technique, it wasn’t an easy chance to finish but Reyna did so with aplomb and Forest need help scoring goals.

Forest should have been out of sight against Luton last time out. Instead, a host of chances were wasted and Reyna sat on the bench as Forest shut up shop instead.

With just nine games remaining, Forest need some wins quickly. The players that have been picked in recent weeks haven’t really done the business and surely it’s time for Espirito Santo to turn to Reyna.

The player massively has a point to prove. He will want to showcase that he’s been treated unfairly so far at Forest and with that in mind, hopefully supporters can see him starting a game very soon.
