‘Great’: Liverpool loan player says he’s been training with the ‘best in the world’ in his position

There’s just something about goalkeepers at Liverpool. Over the last few years, the club has produced some top shot-stoppers. From having someone like Alisson Becker in between the sticks to Caoimhin Kelleher as the club’s second choice.

The Reds’ academy in particular has produced some really talented goalkeepers. Not just Kelleher, but also the likes of Kamil Grabara, who has caught the eye in the Champions League recently. This summer Grabara will be moving to the Bundesliga, and at 25-years-old, he is still a relatively young goalkeeper with a lot of potential.

Peter Gulacsi is another one Liverpool produced, who has gone onto excel in the Champions League and has become one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga at RB Leipzig. He too spent years in the club’s academy and really benefitted from the education he received at Anfield.

But they are not the only ones. Vitezslav Jaros is another who is catching the eye at the moment, and who could easily follow suit of the aforementioned players.

Vitezslav Jaros says he has trained with the ‘best in the world’

Jaros has been on several successful loan spells recently. During the 2021/22 season, he won the Irish FA Cup with St Patrick’s Athletic, and also received the club’s Player of the Season award. Last season, Jaros did well at Notts County before coming into the first team set-up during the first half of this season.

In January, he was ultimately allowed to join Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga, where Jaros hasn’t just caught the eye at a domestic level but in the UEFA Conference League as well. So impressive have his performances been that he has also received recognition at international level.

This month he was called into the Czech senior national team for the first time. And while on international duty he has been speaking in a press conference about his journey so far.

“We will see what happens in the summer, who stays there,” Jaros said as per LiveSport. “It is great to train with Alisson, who is the best in the world. Now against Sparta, everyone saw Kelleher, when he catches his form, won’t get a goal either.”

It’s clear a lot of Liverpool’s young goalkeepers are benefitting from training alongside Alisson. Jaros isn’t wrong. The Brazilian is the best keeper in the world, and he has been so valuable for Liverpool. Not just on the pitch but off it to teach the likes of Kelleher and Jaros by example.
