Experience Valhalla, a series of music events, at the Gonville Hotel, Cambridge

BrewBoard, a craft beer brewery in Harston, and the Gonville Hotel are putting on Valhalla, a series of four music events in the hotel’s gardens.

The first event was held on 16 March, and the next is set to take place this Saturday (30 March), with others on 13 and 27 April.

There will be four bars, one inside with live jazz, one in the lawned garden, one in a giant tepee with B2B DJs, and another bar on the lower deck of a Routemaster Bus with seating for 25 and a DJ booth on the top deck overlooking Parker’s Piece.

Pizza is on the menu, and a new lager, exclusive to the event, is also being launched. Called ‘Odin’, BrewBoard’s latest drink is a 4.2 per cent ABV crisp and refreshing lager, with a hint of soft sweetness from the addition of maize.

Malcolm Wyse, general manager at the Gonville Hotel, said: “We’re very passionate about supporting local Cambridge businesses and the introduction of BrewBoard as our principal draft beer supplier for our Gonville Bar has been a huge success.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Valhalla experience in our beautiful hotel gardens and teepee throughout March and April.”
