Celtic fan groups release damning joint statement to board amid Celtic End refusal

Celtic have announced ticket sales for the Women side’s upcoming Scottish Womens Premier League match against Heart of Midlothian at Parkhead on Sunday April 21st.

Following successful turnouts last year, including against Hearts on the final day, where the players were met with the colourful atmosphere of the Celtic End, for which around 15,000 turned up, the club have once again announced that Elena Sadiku’s side will have the opportunity to enjoy the experience once more.

Tickets are priced at £10, and Under-16s go free of charge; meanwhile, there will be free entry for those who were there at Ibrox in February. Season ticket holders can purchase briefs for £8.

Celtic fan groups release damning joint statement

More details on the occasion have now come to light amid a joint statement from Celtic fan groups the Green Brigade, the Bhoys and North Curve following news that the Celtic End won’t be permitted like it was last year.

Taking aim at Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay, the groups state that the club have refused to facilitate thousands of fans being behind the goal to cheer the Ghirls on, and they now won’t attend the fixture or the upcoming clash against Hibernian that is also scheduled to be played at Parkhead on May 19th.

In what looks on the face of it like an own goal from the club, the Celtic End’s passion and colour won’t reverberate around Parkhead in just under a month’s time, despite the club using images from last year’s atmospheric occasions for their promotional content.

Hopefully, Celtic Women can still get healthy backing from the stands against Hearts as they look to pip Rangers to the title.
