The international week can bring some boredom to the footballing calendar for the Celtic fans.
However, Celtic interest is still there as we have hadten players out on international duty over the past fortnight.
Greg Taylor and Anthony Ralston were both unused subs in Scotland’s defeat to Northern Ireland. Paulo Bernardo captained and scored in Portugal U21s win over Croatia last night and we also had Daizen Maeda and Matt O’Riley enjoy spells away with Japan and Denmark.
However, it was Adam Idah who stole the headlines after the on-loan Celtic striker made a second-half appearance for the Republic of Ireland last night.
Although the match ended in a 1-0 defeat to Switzerland, Idah blew the Irish media away with his 30-minute cameo last night.

What is most stark about the media’s reaction to Idah’s performance is how one outlet commented that his move to Celtic seems to have done the Irishman a world of good.
Five goals in ten appearances for Brendan Rodgers has been a decent return for Celtic and it seems Idah has taken the confidence from that into his performances for his country.
The Irish Sun: “Adam Idah impressed off the bench in the second and shot wide with an acrobatic effort but it was a sloppy showing all told, while Finn Azaz made his senior debut.”

Resigned to a place on the Celtic bench due to Kyogo Furuhashi‘s return to form, it looks like Idah has not let that affect his confidence.
The Irishman will offer a good option off the bench for Rodgers and will still play a crucial role in the title run-in.
