20-year-old winger Arsenal reportedly want to sign is statistically even better than Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka is one of Arsenal’s most important players.

The England international has been amazing for the Gunners for years now. He has been the face of Mikel Arteta‘s revolution and is a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka is one of the first names on the team sheet every single week, but what’s concerning is that Arsenal don’t have a like-for-like backup for him.

Edu Gaspar and Arteta will likely dive into the market to bring such a player in this summer, and one of Arsenal’s targets in that position is outperforming Saka himself.

Arsenal target outscores Bukayo Saka in stats comparison

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is up there with the best players in the Premier League, if not the world.

The 22-year-old, despite what many felt was a slow start to the season, has scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions so far.

He is on course to hit 20 goals and 20 assists, which would be a terrific return for someone of his age.

Squawka compared Bukayo Saka’s key stats to some of the best wide players in the world, and the Arsenal number seven put many to shame.

He was head and shoulders above the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Jarrod Bowen, Harvey Elliott and even Gabriel Martinelli. Saka also beat superstars like Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe.

The one player who got the better of the Englishman, however, is Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.

The 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, boasts better numbers than Saka in ball recoveries, successful dribbles, fouls won and successful ground duels.

Simons is level with Saka when it comes to shots on target, assists and key passes per game.

The only two categories in which the Arsenal star comes out on top are goals per game and touches inside the opposition box.

Bukayo Saka’s stats compared to Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is an absolute superstar, but how does his numbers fare against Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka?

Let’s find out…

Saka and Salah are the two best right-wingers in the Premier League. Most fans would say the Liverpool star is the better player, but Squawka’s stats give the edge to the Englishman.

The Arsenal number seven boasts better numbers in ball recoveries, key passes, successful dribbles, fouls and ground duels won, while Salah comes out on top in goals, assists, touches in opposition box and shots on target per game.

It’s close, but Saka wins that battle 5-4.
