Where is Liverpool’s Pre-Season Tour 2024 taking place?
Liverpool have scheduled their first pre-season tour of America since 2019 as the highlight part of their 2024 off-season plans. The Reds will also visit Philadelphia and South Carolina.
When will Liverpool’s Pre-Season Tour 2024 start?
At the time of writing, Liverpool will start their pre-season tour of the USA on July 31, 2024. But the Reds are yet to confirm their full off-season schedule or when Liverpool’s first-team squad will regroup at the AXA Training Centre to start their pre-season training programme.
Liverpool regrouped for the first day of pre-season training under Jurgen Klopp on July 8 in 2023. Their senior players called up for international duty did not return until July 11. While this summer sees Germany host Euro 2024, with the final of which taking place on July 14.
Liverpool’s 2024 pre-season fixture list
As of March 28, Liverpool have only confirmed two friendlies for their 2024 pre-season tour.
The Anfield outfit will contest high-profile friendlies against Arsenal and Manchester United during their tour of the USA. It is the first time that Liverpool face Arsenal on American soil. Liverpool beat Arsenal once during their three meetings in 2023/24, whilst also losing once.
Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 in their second Premier League clash after drawing 1-1 at Anfield. While the Reds beat the Gunners 2-0 in the FA Cup but lost 4-3 at Manchester United after extra-time in the quarter-finals. The Red Devils also beat Liverpool 4-0 in their 2022 friendly.
