24-year-old Chelsea player spotted in training ahead of Burnley match despite being listed as injured

One Chelsea player has now been spotted in first team training ahead of their return to Premier League action on Saturday against Burnley.

Pictures from training yesterday, shared by CFC Pics on Twitter, shows one player who was previously listed as injured actually amongst the players training the day before they are back in action at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea struggling with injuries

The weekly injury update the club releases every week saw another trio of players added to an ever-growing list of those who were unavailable for selection.

Mauricio Pochettino reported a problem for Ben Chilwell had been aggravated during international duty, while Robert Sanchez and Trevoh Chalobah were also struggling too.

The latter was an unfortunate addition, given the fact that he has only just started to feature regularly again after missing the whole of the season up to now.

Chalobah already back in training

Nevertheless, it doesn’t appear as if he is going to be out for too much longer, with him being seen in training ahead of a potential return already.

His presence in the squad is actually going to be absolutely crucial for the Blues in the coming weeks based on the other injury problems they have right now.

Wesley Fofana is yet to play a minute for the club this season, and as things stand it doesn’t look as if he is going to due to his knee injury.

Levi Colwill was injured too before the last international break, and has still not returned to training either off the back of that.

This leaves Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile and Thiago Silva as the fit options right now, although the latter has not been seen in action in any capacity for over a month now.

It has been claimed today that the Blues are working on a solution to their ongoing injury crisis, however the issue is about as complex as it gets for them right now.
