Join in the games day at Waterstones
Cambridge Waterstones is hosting a holiday games session for kids. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to roll dice, draw cards, and demo games aimed at players 6+ From 2pm until 6pm, there will be tables of games led by our games expert Karl and our special guest: Asmodee Games.
There will be a chance to play some family favourites such as: Dobble, Unlock Kids, Dixit, Concept, Cobra Paw, Ticket to Ride London and many more. Plus the team will be showcasing demonstrations of Disney Lorcana trading card game.

Try holiday bushcraft at Wandlebury
Holiday bushcraft at Wandlebury is designed for children aged 5-12 and is run by experienced qualified teachers from Wild Thyme & Embers, who will inspire children and share their knowledge and skills of surviving in the wild. The sessions focus on practical bushcraft and survival skills and follow a forest school approach encouraging self-confidence and sense of achievement.
All basic bushcraft techniques suitable for this age range will be taught, including:
Shelter building
Knots and rope work
Use of cutting tools and whittling
Plant and tree recognition and uses
Seasonal woodcrafts
Fire lighting techniques
Wilderness cooking skills
Natural art and crafts
Woodland games

Tremble in terror at a ghost story
The Combined Actors of Cambridge are staging a production of The Ghostly Gift of Miss Constance Couper, which is suitable for ages 12 and up.
Oxford 1900 – Miss Martindale and Miss Couper, the Principal and Vice Principal of St Hugh’s College, write a fantastical tale of time travel back to Versailles and the French Revolution. In 1968 two young women arrive to study at the college but find themselves disturbed by ghostly voices and the discovery of a terrifying secret deep in the college’s past. What really happened to Miss Martindale? What is the truth behind the book the two women wrote? Above all, what is the real story behind Miss Couper’s apparently generous gift? This is a tale of ghosts, intrigue, time travel – and murder.

Find a dinosaur egg
Join in the dinosaur egg hunt at the Sedgwick Museum this holiday. Clare, the dinosaur who lives by the museum steps, has travelled in time through the museum’s galleries, laying an egg in each of the display cases that she visited. Can you find them all and answer Clare’s questions to win a prize?

Spring back to life with the help of the gods
Would you like to know how to escape the underworld, to come back to life or even how to become a god? In spring the world comes back to life, so join the team at the Museum of Classical Archaeology to explore stories of resurrection and rebirth at a relaxed afternoon of holiday activities. Dive into the ancient world with miraculous myths from ancient Greece and Rome, get arty by re-enacting the most shocking stories with paper puppets you can take home with you, or welcome the spring with some flowery crafting.

Follow the trail to a chocolate Easter egg at Wicken Fen
Explore the beautiful landscape of Wicken Fen Nature Reserve and make your way along the trail to find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place until 14 April, from 10am to 5pm with the last entry at 4pm, so come along and. Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter activity sheet to take home, pencil, bunny ears and chocolate egg or a vegan and Free From chocolate egg. Both eggs are made using Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.
Explore the peaceful nature reserve, visit the historic windpump or drop into the bird hides as you follow the Easter trail around the boardwalk and the woodland walk. The trail route follows accessible paths.
