Virgil van Dijk shares what he will miss the most about Jurgen Klopp when he leaves Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

It’s a reality that many are struggling to come to terms with, but the fact of the matter is that Klopp only has 10 more Premier League games to go as the manager of Liverpool.

Klopp will leave behind one hell of a legacy at Anfield, and now, speaking to Men in Blazers, Virgil van Dijk has been discussing his gaffer’s impending departure.

Van Dijk was asked what he will miss the most about Klopp when he goes, and he says that he will miss the German as a human being moreso than he’ll miss him as a manager, claiming that he’s become something of a father figure for the entire squad over the years.

What Virgil van Dijk will miss about Jurgen Klopp

Van Dijk spoke about his manager’s impending departure.

“Just the human being yes, he’s a bit of a father for us as a squad. He’s been that steady figure for so many years. It’s going to be strange not having him after this season. I don’t want to speak too much about it because we’re still in the mix of it and still focused on things we want to achieve

Jurgen Klopp has been incredible

It’s really impossible to overestimate the impact Jurgen Klopp has made at Liverpool over the years.

The German has completely transformed this club. When he took over, the Reds were in the doldrums under Brendan Rodgers, but now, they’ve won every trophy there is to win over the past few years, while they’re on track to potentially win a couple more before the end of the season.

It’s going to be so tough for the Reds to find a replacement for Klopp, not just as a tactician, but also as a personality.
