Krispy Kreme collabs with cookie brand to celebrate upcoming solar eclipse

With the 2024 April solar eclipse right around the corner, Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Oreo to provide avid astronomers with a brand-new doughnut.

NASA reported that the solar eclipse will be viewable next week on April 8, bringing with it a rare moment for stunning pictures. When you’re not viewing the solar eclipse yourself, or keeping your dogs calm and collected, you might want to chow down on some treats as special as the occasion.

Introducing the Oreo X Krispy Kreme collab

Following the news that Krispy Kreme would be partnering with McDonald’s in 2026, an employee of the restaurant clued in Markie Devo on the exciting food launch in the coming days. Markie’s popular food news page earlier teased releases like the maple-syrup-flavored Pepsi and the TrueMoo blue milk.

To his 100k followers, Markie wrote: “Krispy Kreme is getting down with the April 8th solar eclipse with an awesome Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut featuring OREO.

“As of right now details on the actual donut are not available yet. A Krispy Kreme employee tells me it’s most likely an original glazed with cookies n’ creme icing, followed by an original Oreo on top(I’ll update).”

It’s believed that the eclipse doughnuts will be available from April 5 to April 8, meaning customers have just four days to snack on the Oreo Krispy Kremes. The advert also suggested that a dozen would be available for $18.99.

Eclipse fans just found their event food

As countless Americans make plans around the celestial moment, dozens of people seemed excited to serve the Krispy Kreme X Oreo collab.

One person exclaimed: “I can enjoy this very much because it is going to be delicious and I live right down the street lol!!!! Love Krispy Kreme!!!! #330.”

“Every space-themed doughnut has been the greatest thing ever. I’m so excited for this!” another person said, as a third concluded, “The eclipse donuts from the last total solar eclipse were better.”
