Tottenham receive seriously big boost ahead of West Ham clash, it’ll make Moyes's job so, so hard

West Ham United play host to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the London Stadium tomorrow night.

The West Ham vs Tottenham Premier League clash is a vitally important one for both sides, as the race for the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League starts to take shape.

Hammers boss David Moyes has already been dealt a big blow with the news that our old nemesis Andy Madley will be on VAR duty for the game.

West Ham head into the clash with Spurs tomorrow on the back of a bitterly disappointing 4-3 defeat up at Newcastle on Saturday.

The loss was such a sucker punch for us, after we led 3-1 right up until the 77th minute, and now finishing inside the top seven feels like it will be a really tough task.

However, the players should be bang up for this one. They shouldn’t need any extra motivation to get up for the game against Tottenham.

To be fair, the same can be said for the Spurs players. And, they’ve been handed a major boost ahead of the game…

If the Hammers lose tomorrow night, we can kiss goodbye our chances of finishing inside the top seven.

And if Spurs fail to win, they’ll have a really tough job of finishing inside the top four this season.

I actually think we have the players who can really hurt Ange Postecoglou’s side. It will be vital for us to take the game to them and to start on the front foot.

However, the north London outfit will have one very potent weapon that we’ll find extremely difficult to combat in my opinion…

Micky van de Ven was back on the bench for Tottenham for their clash with Luton Town on Saturday, after missing their previous game against Fulham.

The 22-year-old has been outstanding for Spurs this season, and I think he’s already established himself as one of the very best central defenders in the league.

He has been key to Tottenham’s ability to play with a high line this season, and they quite simply haven’t been the same team without him.

His best attribute is his incredible pace, and that will cause us a problem. The Hammers are a team that sits back and soaks up pressure before trying to hit our opponents on the counter attack.

With Van de Ven playing for Tottenham though, West Ham will find it very hard to do this, and Moyes will have to come up with a different plan.

If the 22-year-old does start for Spurs tomorrow, we could be in for a long night at the London Stadium, unless Moyes surprises the visitors with a new game-plan.
