'Absolutely exceptional': Pundit says Liverpool first-teamer has gone into a 'different stratosphere' recently

It’s safe to say that Liverpool have some pretty amazing young talent coming through the ranks right now and former Red Gary Gillespie has lauded one of them.

Jurgen Klopp is going off into the sunset in the summer but before leaving behind a cluster of talent for a new manager to come in and work alongside.

In recent months we’ve seen a number of young Liverpool stars shine. Conor Bradley has been a standout at right-back, while Jarrell Quansah has starred in the middle as well.

Further, we’ve also seen the likes of Bobby Clarke,Jayden Danns, and Lewis Koumas all make some sort of impact on the field.

The future, then, is very bright for Liverpool it seems.

And speaking about one of those young players, Liverpool legend Gary Gillespie was full of praise.

Liverpool youngster impresses former Reds star

Yesterday’s win over Brighton once again saw Jurgen Klopp put faith in a few of his younger players.

Praising the youngster, Gillespie believes Quansah is now a regular first-teamer.

“We talk about Konate being a superstar of the future. But this young lad Quansah at the beginning of the season, what were his expectations? Not a great deal I don’t think. Dragged out the under-18s or the under-21s and his performances have just elevated him into a different stratosphere to be honest,” Gillespie said.

“It looks as if the positions his at this moment from what I’ve seen. He hasn’t put a foot wrong. There was two or three occasions when he was put under extreme pressure from Brighton players and he dealt with it. Overall, his performances since he’s come into the side have been absolutely exceptional.”

Jarrell Quansah is Liverpool’s future

While there is credit to be given to Virgil van Dijk for how he’s handled playing alongside such a young player, Quansah has to be given praise as well.

Quansah has caught the eye of so many with his performances as well.

Fernando Torres recently named him among three players who have caught his attention, while Sammy Lee lauded the youngster for his performance at Old Trafford a few weeks back.

Quansah, then, is very much on his way to being a superstar at Liverpool. And if they win the title, he’ll have been just as important as any other player in that team.
