Report: PSG have spoken to ‘unbelievable’ Chelsea player about signing him, he doesn’t want to leave

Reports have claimed that PSG are now targeting the signing of one Chelsea player at the end of this season.

According to Football Transfers, the Ligue 1 side made contact with the player in question recently regarding a potential switch.

Chelsea’s lingering position in the table has seen reports claim that a number of top clubs could be interested in some of their players.

Chelsea have to sell this summer

There have also been reports that financial limitations could see them forced to sell some top stars to balance the books.

While Conor Gallagher has normally been the source of this discussion, it was reported over the weekend that Reece James could also be considered for a sale due to his homegrown status.

Despite the fact that he is the captain of the club right now, it does not seem to have put sides off being interested and monitoring the situation at Stamford Bridge.

PSG want Reece James

PSG are now one of the sides who have been linked with the signing, with it even being reported that they made contact with the player during a recent trip he took to Saint-Tropez.

However, it goes on to say that he has absolutely no interest in leaving England, let alone Chelsea right now.

The current manager is likely not wanting him to leave either, with Mauricio Pochettino describing him as ‘unbelievable’ earlier this season.

It is perhaps natural that transfer talk exists about one of the best players in his position in world football, however with recent goings on at Chelsea you can never tell what is coming next.

Very few would have expected a situation where the club would sell Mason Mount, however that is exactly what happened last summer when he moved to Manchester United.

It would however be a far bigger mistake if those in charge made the decision to cash in on James, even if he has been struggling recently with ongoing injury problems that have limited his gametime.
