Well – according to the Daily Mail – Liverpool now want to sign Luis Guilherme.
It is said that Liverpool are closely monitoring the Palmeiras No.31 – who can play on either wing or centrally in the No.10 role.
Palmeiras will demand £40m for Guilherme this summer – the Brazilian giants have little need for cash after selling Endrick to Real Madrid for a whopping £60m.
The Brasileiro Série A have also produced Gabriel Jesus in the past – they clearly know how to develop a forward, which bodes well for Guilherme’s career.
Who is Luis Guilherme?
Well – if Liverpool do sign Guilherme – some may not expect him to go straight into the senior side, given the fact he is just 18 years of age.
However, the teenager certainly has the pace to cause defenders problems in the Premier League – the Brazil U20 international is actually quicker than Erling Haaland.
Guilherme recorded a top speed of 36.4 km/h during the Copa do Brasil U17 final against Vasco da Gama back in 2022 – according to The Beautiful Game.
As detailed by SpeedsDB, Haaland’s quickest speed is 36.2 km/h – meaning the Liverpool target is faster than one of Europe’s most ruthlessly quick strikers.
