'I just feel...': EFL pundits name who will win the title between Leicester City, Leeds & others

Leicester City returned to winning ways on Monday as they defeated play-off hopefuls Norwich City 3-1.

Victory for The Foxes moved them to the summit of the Championship table for a brief period until Ipswich defeated Southampton in dramatic fashion later in the day.

Leeds, meanwhile, brushed aside Hull City 3-1, although, for much of the clash at Elland Road they were second best.

The West Yorkshire club, however, netted two late goals to put themselves back in the top two, dropping Enzo Maresca‘s side back into third.

Leicester still have that all-important game in hand on the aforementioned two and because of it, automatic promotion remains in their hands.

But, who do the EFL pundits see going up inside the top two?

Speaking on Sky Sports, Jobi McAnuff and Robert Snodgrass analysed the incredible promotion run in and predicted their top two.

“I think Ipswich and Leeds have the momentum,” Snodgrass said.

“I just feel at this moment in time, the momentum has been with Ipswich, who have won nine of their last 10.

“Leeds are flying, Leicester have had that little stop-start. So for me, I’m going to for Ipswich and Leeds.”

McAnuff seemed to be of a similar opinion and noted Leicester’s tough run of fixtures as a potential stumbling block.

“I’d want Leeds’ run, looking at that as a group,” McAnuff added.

“I think Leicester have got that tough little run, West Brom, Southampton and Preston in a block of three games which is going to be difficult for them.

“So I think if you were asking me as a manager what run I’d want, definitely Leeds.”

Leicester City are in an unfamiliar position

For the majority of the season, the East Midlanders have been sitting pretty at the summit of the Championship table.

Many have considered Leicester as certs to go up as title-winners, but that notion has certainly dwindled in recent weeks.

Sitting in third, heading into the Birmingham City game this weekend, is an unfamiliar position for them and perhaps a positive one, in many ways.

With Ipswich and Leeds occupying a place in the top two, the pressure may be notched up on them a little more.

Leicester just need to go about their business and block out the external noise. A win against Birmingham this weekend could be enough to see them stay at the summit.
