‘I love the way he talks’: Pundit says ‘brave’ manager could be absolutely perfect for Liverpool

Liverpool are being linked with almost every manager in Europe at the moment.

The Reds need to find a replacement for Jurgen Klopp come the end of the season, and with no standout candidate emerging as of yet, there are still a number of runners and riders in this race.

Speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Tony Cascarino has been discussing who he believes should be the next Liverpool gaffer.

The pundit gave an interesting opinion when asked who he believed should be the next Liverpool gaffer.

Tony Cascarino offers Liverpool manager suggestion

The pundit named Thomas Frank as the manager he’d like to see get the Liverpool job.

“The one I have always liked is Thomas Frank. He’s really adaptable, the way he comes up against different styles and is always ready to play against them. It can be pragmatic and it can be aggressive. He’s had to deal with an incredible amount of injuries. Just generally they have been affected so much, more than any other team, I love the way he talks and he plays a brave style of football,” Cascarino said.

Huge step up

Thomas Frank is a manager who has a lot of admirers after doing such a good job with Brentford.

However, it would be remiss to pretend as though he’s absolutely ready for a job of this calibre.

Frank has done a good job with Brentford, there’s no doubt about that, but let’s not pretend that doing a good job with Brentford is the same as performing as the Liverpool boss.

The expectations at Anfield are infinitely higher than they are in west London, and we really can’t see Frank making this step up comfortably at this point.

Yes, he talks well, and yes he can adapt his squad to any style, but he doesn’t play what you would call winning football, does he?
