Report: Chelsea have scouted record-breaking youngster, he could move this summer

Reports have claimed that Chelsea have entered the race to sign one youngster at the end of this season.

According to BolaVIP, the Blues have joined the race alongside the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid to bring in talented youngster Franco Mastantuono this summer.

Chelsea have made it somewhat of their mantra since Todd Boehly took over the club to make signings of young players before they are snapped up by fellow elite sides.

One of the highlight additions has been Kendry Paez, who is already an established international for Ecuador alongside Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea keen on record-breaking Mastantuono

Another they are reportedly considering is Mastantuono, who is another who has made himself somewhat of a regular at first team level.

He has done this for River Plate, playing nine games in the league this season at just 16 years of age.

The youngster is currently a part of their prestigious past too, becoming the youngster scorer in the club’s history back in February.

The attacker can play either on the right or behind the striker, clearly proving to be a versatile asset already despite his young age.

It is perhaps not surprising then that a number of top sides are intrigued by the prospect of a deal, with the Blues adding themselves to the list of those interested.

Chelsea fans want big signings again

Chelsea fans will likely be more concerned right now regarding the signings they make this summer, with the intention being to address the immediate problems at Stamford Bridge.

Despite a number of expensive transfer windows being facilitated at the club in the last few years, the Blues remain in the mid table places of the Premier League for the second consecutive season.

Qualifying for European football looks unlikely at this stage, however it is believed by many to be the key to Mauricio Pochettino keeping his job at Stamford Bridge.
