South Carolina head women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley has the Gamecocks on a historic march this season. Her team continues with an unblemished record and they’re looking to become the first undefeated team in women’s college basketball since UConn in 2015-2016. South Carolina is preparing to face N.C. State in the Final Four. And Staley has racked up the bonus money along the way in the Gamecocks season. On Wednesday, she earned Naismith Women’s College Basketball Coach of the Year honors, reeling in a $25,000 bonus.
According to Steve Berkowitz, Staley’s bonus total has increased to $430,000 for the 2023-2024 season.
