'He hasn't': Ian Wright says there's two players at Man United who Marcus Rashford simply doesn't respect

Ian Wright has suggested that Marcus Rashford does not respect two players at Manchester United.

The Red Devils aren’t having a great season. They are conceding way too many chances to their opponents, and their dreams of qualifying for next season’s Champions League are fading.

Manchester United have a lot of problems on and off the pitch, but one player who has been criticised more than anyone else is Rashford.

The Englishman has been in the news a lot lately, mostly for the wrong reasons. He looks nothing like the player he was last season, and that has led to some serious criticism.

Ian Wright names the two Manchester United players Marcus Rashford doesn’t respect

Marcus Rashford constantly seems to divide opinion, doesn’t he?

The 26-year-old has had a lot of ups and downs since he first emerged as a phenomenal young talent under Louis van Gaal all those years ago.

Rashford has produced some incredible moments in a Manchester United shirt, but the forward has had his bad spells as well. He is going through one now.

On the Stick to Football podcast this week, Roy Keane and Ian Wright delivered their verdicts on Rashford and what needs to be done to get him back to his best.

The Arsenal legend suggested that Rashford needs experienced players to give him a hand, but there are none at Manchester United right now.

Keane disagreed. He said: “There’s loads of experience around him – the centre-halves, (Harry) Maguire is experienced. (Raphael) Varane is experienced. There’s experienced players around him. There’s international players around him, players who are older.”

Wright replied: “He hasn’t got respect for them players. I don’t think he’s got respect for them.

“He has got experience around him but you’ve got to respect the experience around you, because look at Harry Maguire and what Harry Maguire is going through.

“Yes, you’d like to think Harry can step above that and help the young player through, but man’s got his own problems. And if that was the case, surely he would be helping Marcus.”

Marcus Rashford’s record against Chelsea ahead of the game tonight

Manchester United have a difficult run of fixtures coming up, the first of which is against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight.

The Red Devils need to turn things around. They’ve won just one of their last four games in the Premier League, which is a shocking record.

Chelsea have had a worse season than Manchester United – they’re currently 12th in the table. The Red Devils have already beaten them once this season, and it’s time for them to do it again.

Marcus Rashford could make the difference.

The Englishman has six goals and three assists against Chelsea in 16 starts against them. He scored in a 4-1 win against the Blues last season, and he definitely has the ability to do that again tonight.

However, whether he will is anybody’s guess.
