Big West Ham problem as Man United reportedly eye move to sign Steidten's perfect £30m player

Manchester United could be set to name a real favourite of West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten this summer.

West Ham director football Tim Steidten has been at the London Stadium for nine months now and has already made a big impact, but Manchester United could be about to deal him, and us as a club, a real body blow.

Steidten, 44, is set to be handed the keys to the London Stadium castle this summer when it comes to our player recruitment plan.

The German will apparently have full control of who comes in and who leaves the club – something that’s obviously not good news for Hammers boss David Moyes.

I wouldn’t be surprised one little bit if Moyes leaves at the end of the season and we move toward a more European themed transfer strategy, whereby Steidten signs players for the new manager to work with.

However, it seems as though the German has been dealt a blow before he’s even got started…

The German DOF will play a crucial role for us over the next few years when it comes to building out a squad capable of really kicking on to the next level.

Manchester United are seemingly threatening to scupper one of Tim Steidten’s key summer plans though…

AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana is firmly on the radar of Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag ahead of the summer transfer window according to a report from Calcio Mercato.

And Man United are ready to battle us to the hilt for the France international’s signature.

The 25-year-old is said to be one of Tim Steidten’s most sought after signings this summer.

L’Equipe reckon that he could be up for grabs for around £30 million – an absolute steal for a player of his calibre in this day and age.

He is exactly what we need in the middle of the pitch at the London Stadium, what with his power, pace, physicality, energy and dynamism.

Fofana would be the perfect partner for Edson Alvarez in central midfield, and he’d offer us exactly what we’re missing centrally right now.

However, it seems as though Manchester United could be set to scupper West Ham United’s summer plan by signing the priority target of Tim Steidten. That really would hurt.
