Plans to change the use of land to a garden and erection of a polycrub are set to be considered by a council committee today (April 4).
The application, submitted by Stephen Smith for the Little Rudsey Farm, High Cross, Goverton, will be decided by the Newark and Sherwood District Council planning committee meeting.
The proposal includes changing the use of the land to a garden associated with the adjacent house Little Rudsey Farm, resulting in change of use to residential.
The applicant is looking for permission for the erection of a four metres by eight metres polycrub — a polytunnel and greenhouse hybrid designed to withstand harsh environments — on the land with the change of use proposal.
The application confirmed that the polycrub would be for personal use as a domestic green house.
Little Rudsey Farm is a two storey resident with a single storey outbuilding and a garage adjoined to The Barn, an adjoined house that shares a courtyard.
One other dwelling sharing the same single track off High Cross is a cottage known as The Bungalow at Little Rudsey Farm.
The surrounding area of Little Rudsey Farm is predominantly fields and open countryside and the property is set back from High Cross by approximately 150 metres, served by a single track road.
The application was recommended to be approved by the planning officers.
