Green Brigade and Bhoys fan groups announce encouraging Glasgow Derby plans

Celtic travel to Rangers this weekend in a crucial fixture examining the context of our Scottish Premiership title hopes.

At this stage, we hold a one-point advantage over our direct title competitors; however, the Bhoys have the chance to move four clear at the summit with a victory heading into our last pre-split fixture against St Mirren.

Should we secure a draw, Brendan Rodgers’ men will still be in control of their own destiny; meanwhile, a loss is a far less desirable result for reasons I don’t need to explain.

In the lead-up to Sunday’s kick-off, Celtic fan groups the Green Brigade and Bhoys have announced their plans ahead of the trip to Ibrox, where we won’t be allowed any away supporters on the day.

North Curve Celtic have posted plans on social media platform X to ‘see off the team’ in style from the Celtic Way at 3.30 pm on Saturday.

Of course, it isn’t ideal that we won’t have a visiting contingent on Glasgow’s southside the following day; nevertheless, fans congregating to create a wall of noise on Saturday will hopefully help spur the team on ahead of a game with major ramifications.

Celtic fans to give their side a rousing reception on the Celtic Way

Before our players undergo their last-minute preparations on Saturday before the action gets underway, seeing the support in full flow will serve as a reminder of how much is at stake for everyone connected with the club this weekend.

Our fan groups go to great lengths to show their full backing for the side, and one would suspect that the Celtic Way won’t be one of Glasgow’s quieter spots once those in attendance catch a glimpse of their heroes.

Pre-match jitters can often be a torrid thing to deal with in the days leading up to a derby match, so why not get down to Parkhead and show some support if you’re at a loose end?
