Reality star refuses to film future trips after 'fake' yachting vacation airs on TV

Below Deck saw none other than The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin join the boat for a fun-filled vacation. By Jill’s side was Gary Brody – but the episode didn’t go down too well.

After she was hailed “insufferable” on Below Deck, Jill Zarin is vowing to have zero cameras on any future vacations. The Real Housewives of New York City star had a few demands on-board, as well as her guests.

Below Deck meets Jill Zarin

Jill Zarin joined Below Deck’s April 1 episode with a group, including five-year boyfriend Gary Brody. She was instantly recognized as RHONY’s former cast member, and many say she hasn’t changed since.

As a friend of the primary guest, Jill gives serious main character energy on the show. She even made some confessions herself, telling Captain Kerry that she has captained a boat before.

She then clarifies, “Not a boat like this. The furthest I went was Newport.” When the captain responds, “Oh, really? Mm hmm,” Jill tells him, “I wouldn’t go to Nantucket though, that’s too much openness.”

Real Housewives of New York star has demands

When the dinner hasn’t been served by 8.20pm – despite a plan of 8.30pm for food – Jill is sauntering up to Fraser Olender, asking what the chances are of the group sitting to eat in ten minutes are.

After suggesting crudités and sushi for appetizer, despite the Primary being unable to eat raw fish, she also everyone if their food was cold and to tell the stews “because they like feedback.”

When her main meal of pad Thai chicken is served cold, Jill suggests the captain won’t like it, but does give a compliment on the “very impressive” dessert!

Bravo fans convinced it’s all ‘fake’

One Reddit user said: “Idk it kind of broke the third wall too much. Like it seemed really fake. Obviously the show is fake but this made it seem like an SNL sketch of below deck.”

Another penned: “I totally agree. We know the producers encourage guests to act more demanding, she’s just naturally good at it 🤣 This one seemed more staged than normal.”

“Jill said she and the group didn’t know each other. I think they had trouble filling spaces and others were brought in later. They likely all paid an equal split so Jill wouldn’t feel like a secondary guest,” they added.

However, she did thank the primary charter guests for the trip. “Thank you @themelindaspringer and @mrnoahspringer for an amazing trip,” Jill, 60, wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story on Wednesday.

Alongside a picture of her and pal Melinda Springer on the yacht, she wrote, “We made a great show together but this summer’s trip NO cameras! Love you both ❤️❤️❤️.”
