The hugely successful period under Sir Alex Ferguson attracted supporters from all over the planet, with many children dreaming of the chance to play for Manchester United one day.

Well – according to Marca in Spain – Fulham No.19 Rodrigo Muniz would love to sign for the Red Devils.
The Spanish news outlet – who also compare the Brazilian to Pele – add that the South American idolises Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who, of course, used to play for Manchester United.
Muniz has emerged from nowhere to become one of the sensations of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign, following a quiet loan spell under Michael Carrick at Middlesbrough last season.
The 22-year-old scored just two goals in 17 Championship appearances last term, but has impressively netted eight goals in 19 Premier League outings this season.
All eight have come in Muniz’s last nine Premier League appearances, making him the most prolific striker in the whole of England’s top-flight throughout 2024.
Patience is needed
Given the fact Muniz – who Fulham signed from Flamengo for €8m (£7m) in August 2021 – dreams of playing for Manchester United, some fans might want Sir Jim Ratcliffe to push for his signature this summer.
However, patience is needed, as the Brazilian could simply be embarking on a brief purple patch.
Muniz has gone from being an average Championship striker to a leading Premier League marksman in next to no time, which is almost as suspicious as it is impressive.
If anybody at Old Trafford is considering a summer swoop for the Fulham striker, it would be wise to wait another season to see if he can maintain this remarkable form.
