Garnacho copies Kudus again despite warning but it backfires spectacularly

West Ham star Mohammed Kudus warned Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho there’d be a price to pay if he copied him again.

Premier League clashes between West Ham and Manchester United this season had contrasting outcomes.

At home the Hammers beat the Red Devils 2-0 with goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.

At Old Trafford last month Manchester United got a measure of revenge, running out 3-0 winners over West Ham – a result that was harsh on David Moyes’ side.

Alejandro Garnacho had contrasting games in those two clashes.

At the London Stadium Garnacho wasted a gilt-edged chance to put Man United ahead against the Hammers.

Garnacho making a habit of copying Kudus

West Ham’s holy trinity of Bowen, Lucas Paqueta – with that sublime assist – and Kudus made him pay.

Manchester United’s young winger proved the difference in the reverse fixture, scoring twice.

Fast forward to present day, though, and West Ham now have the chance to go above Man United into sixth this weekend.

Just three points separate West Ham and the Red Devils after their crazy 4-3 defeat at Chelsea.

Man United’s Garnacho copied West Ham star Kudus again despite a warning but it backfired spectacularly.

West Ham man warned Man United star

Last week brilliant Kudus warned Garnacho he’ll have to pay taxes if he copies his celebration again – as he did when scoring against West Ham at Old Trafford.

It was a playful warning from Kudus, who admitted he can’t stop the Manchester United man copying him.

“They’re allowed to do it,” the Hammers ace says when asked whether he noticed Manchester United players copying him when West Ham lost at Old Trafford in January.

“But soon they will have to start paying taxes.”

Well it seems Manchester United and Garnacho really did pay a heavy price in the form of karma last night.

Garnacho and Man United pay taxes in karma

West Ham know all about throwing away the lead to lose 4-3 after doing just that at Newcastle last weekend.

Man United took it to new extremes last night, though.

Erik ten Hag’s side came from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 before half-time at Stamford Bridge.

And that man Garnacho then gave them a 3-2 lead in the second half.

The Argentine then ran off and copied Kudus’ celebration again by sitting on the advertising hoardings with his back to the celebrating Man United fans.

Now Hammers can leapfrog Red Devils

But incredibly in the 10th and 11th minutes of stoppage time Chelsea scored twice within a minute to make Garnacho pay those taxes.

The result has big ramifications for West Ham.

It means the Hammers now have the chance to go sixth in the Premier League table with victory at Wolves this weekend. Especially as Man United go to Liverpool on Sunday.

But it also sees Chelsea go just two points behind David Moyes’ side with TWO games in hand.

Things just got interesting.

What a run-in we have in store.
