Realtor claims Netflix real estate show is 'fake' as drama ramps up for new season

Selling The OC has been called ‘fake’ by a realtor working in the same area as the Netflix show real estate agents. Drama is ramping up for season 3, with Sean leading the way after leaving the show.

When the Selling The OC season 3 trailer came out, a fan working in the same industry wrote, “As a realtor in Newport Beach and Laguna – I can tell you none of this is real.”

Selling The OC hailed ‘fake’

Selling The OC has been labelled fake by a realtor working in Newport Beach and Laguna. However, it is described by Netflix as an “unscripted series” following the “personal and professional lives of the cast.

They are all real agents at successful California-based brokerage The Oppenheim Group, while the properties they show to potential buyers are also genuine – and not just film sets.

However, some of the cast do have history in front of a camera. A quick Google search shows Ali was a cast member on a docuseries show called Music City, which hints at potential staged scenes.

Sean gives drama in season 3 trailer

Sean Palmieri is now giving all the drama Selling The OC fans needed in the season 3 trailer. He has a fight with Austin Victoria, pretending not to know about alleged rumors.

“I heard some rumors that you’ve started,” co-star Austin points out as he confronts Sean. “Rumors about what?” Sean responds before Austin tells him “not to play stupid.”

Tyler and Alex go head-to-head

Alex Hall confronts Tyler Stanaland for “swooning her” before “disappearing,” asking him exactly what he wants. She’s then seen telling the cameras that she’s “out and done” of their situationship.

Tyler, meanwhile, tries to express his feelings and concerns for Alex as he tells her, “When we’re trying to force it, neither one of us are on the same page. I don’t want to run this thing into the ground.”

Fans speculated Tyler and Alex were more than just friends and co-workers from season 1. At the time, Tyler denied having any romantic feelings for Alex as he was then married to now-ex-wife Brittany Snow.
