Memphis forward Ashton Hardaway plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

Memphis forward Ashton Hardaway, the son of head coach Penny Hardaway, plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. Ashton Hardaway only spent one season with the program.

In his lone season at Memphis, Hardaway made 30 appearances and three starts. He averaged 2.3 points in 8.3 minutes per game. He shot 34.3% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.

Ashton Hardaway played high school basketball at Sierra Canyon, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 127 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
