Michigan kicked off its spring visit schedule in March by hosting double-digit underclassmen ranked in the Top 100, according to On3 and the Industry Ranking. This offseason, the reigning national champions aim to build momentum on the trail to ascend on the On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings.
The Wolverine examines the five highest-ranked visitors who were in Ann Arbor this past month and U-M’s current status with each target, based on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
Five-star OT Andrew Babalola, Overland Park (Kans.) Blue Valley Northwest, 2025
Industry Ranking: No. 15 Overall, No. 3 Offensive Tackle, No. 1 in Kansas
RPM: Kansas State (27.7%), Oklahoma (24.2%), Nebraska (10.6%), Michigan (4.6%)
March U-M Visit: 3/22/24
Andrew Babalola was the lone five-star who visited Michigan in March, as he and his family took a multi-day trip to Schembechler Hall. Babalola was born in the Metro Detroit area before moving to suburban Kansas City growing up. His connection with head coach Sherrone Moore to The Sunflower State, as the latter is also from Kansas, immediately churned into a relationship when an offer was issued this past fall. On the visit, Babalola would connect further with offensive line coach Grant Newsome, who, along with Moore, has told Babalola how much of a priority he is to the class. Babalola is good friends with 2024 offensive tackle signee Andrew Sprague, who’s been assisting in peer recruiting.

Industry Ranking: No. 40 Overall, No. 7 Offensive Tackle, No. 2 in Nevada
RPM: USC (34.9%), Nebraska (16.0%), Michigan (13.7%), Ohio State (11.4%)
March U-M Visit: 3/30/24
Douglas Utu flew cross-country alongside his family last weekend to Michigan, where pitches on development and technique impressed everyone on the trip. The Wolverines were one of the first schools to offer Utu earlier in his high school career, and he’s kept a relationship with Moore since. Utu had yet to be on campus prior to the weekend. Still, he obtained knowledge of the program leading up to it because of U-M signing one of his former teammates in 2024 running back Micah Ka’apana, and the team hosting fellow Bishop Gorman offensive linemen SJ Alofaituli and Alai Kalaniuvalu in November for the Ohio State game. So, seeing the facilities for himself solidified Michigan’s contender status.
Top 100 Safety JaDon Blair, Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor, 2025
On3 Ranking: No. 43 Overall, No. 2 Safety, No. 3 in North Carolina
RPM: Penn State (26.7%), Virginia Tech (17.6%), Notre Dame (12.6%), Michigan (8.5%)
March U-M Visit: 3/21/24
JaDon Blair has vaulted on the 2025 secondary board for Michigan this cycle after picking up an offer shortly following the Big Ten Championship last season. Recently hired defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan and Blair clicked instantly once the former was brought onto staff, with Moore also actively involved in this race. Blair was told on his visit that he embodies the “Michigan Man” character, which resonated a ton. The Wolverines are expected to host Blair on an official visit this upcoming June, with Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and South Carolina scheduled to host him over the summer as well.
Top 100 QB Troy Huhn, San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills, 2026
On3 Ranking: No. 52 Overall, No. 5 Quarterback, No. 6 in California
RPM: Texas (26.4%), UCLA (12.1%), Arizona State (10.1%), Michigan (8.6%)
March U-M Visit: 3/25/24
Troy Huhn is the latest 2026 quarterback to earn a Michigan offer, which arrived during his two-day stay in Ann Arbor. Quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell is pushing for multiple sophomore signal-callers with On300 Ft. Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot commit Carter Smith locked in this cycle. Campbell saw Huhn throw live during the winter contact period, and on the visit, they broke down film and play concepts. Huhn comes from the same high school that produced Jack Tuttle.

Industry Ranking: No. 66 Overall, No. 5 Athlete, No. 4 in Ohio
RPM: Ohio State (35.3%), Penn State (20.8%), Michigan (9.1%), Kentucky (7.6%)

Bo Jackson has Michigan in the running following his return visit late last month, which was orchestrated in part because of his relationship with newly added running backs coach Tony Alford, who recruited the Northeast Ohio native at OSU. Jackson has known Alford since his freshman year, and the latter’s change in scenery didn’t hinder their bond. Moore’s passion also stands out for Jackson, who mentioned the running back room, led by Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings, as being the leaders of the team.
