'I just love the way': Ian Wright raves about Chelsea star Cole Palmer after what he's just seen from him

Cole Palmer is receiving widespread praise after his latest glittering Chelsea performance this week. Now, Ian Wright is the latest to join the long list of admirers.

The Blues beat Manchester United in a remarkable 4-3 win on Thursday night, which lifts them to 10th in the Premier League table and keeps them in the hunt for the European positions.

For Cole Palmer, he continued his sensational form this season by scoring a hat-trick in midweek.

The left-footed attacker is now up to 19 goals in 36 Blues appearances across all competitions.

Cole Palmer the best Chelsea signing since N’Golo Kante

Every Chelsea supporter had had to endure a seriously tough campaign so far, but the shining light that is Cole Palmer is providing hope.

We’re confident in saying he’s the best and most important Blues signing since N’Golo Kante back in 2016.

Chelsea paid an initial transfer fee of £40 million (BBC) to sign Palmer from Manchester City last summer, which looking back feels like such incredible value for money.

We’re confident and excited that the England star is only going to get better, too.

Ian Wright reaction to Cole Palmer

Pundit Ian Wright was left blown away by what he saw from Chelsea’s Palmer in the victory against Man United a couple of days ago.

In particular, he’s shocked by the way the 21-year-old playmaker steps up time and time again for his side.

When discussing Palmer on the Wrighty’s House podcast, Wright said: “He is the centrepiece…. When it went to 3-2, you’re thinking, ‘Where is Cole’? He’s too wide; get involved more. He went to a [No 10]. At that stage of the game, you saw him getting on the ball more. Things kept happening. He’s trying to pass it through the little gaps.

“… I just love the way he took the game over. He is a match-winner. He’s quality.”
