Masonic Lodge supports Young People March with a donation of more than £500

A positive event will see youngsters benefit after a charitable organisation donated to a good cause.

Following a successful race night, Caldwell Masonic Lodge has donated £600 to Young People March (YPM), an organisation for young people in in the village and the surrounding area.

YPM’s aim is to provide a safe and positive environment in which all young people in the area can access opportunities to enhance and facilitate their successful transition from childhood to adulthood by promoting sports, arts, dance, socialising, health and wellbeing.

YPM volunteers and members received a cheque from Caldwell Lodge members, Lee Mitchell and John Best

Commenting on the donation, Jayne Manders, the centre manager, said: “The staff, volunteers, and members would all like to thank Caldwell Lodge for their generosity.

“It is always special to have local people donate to our cause and even nicer when they take time out to get to know us and find out what we do.

“The young people who attend our Tuesday group have expressed they would like to put the money towards some new gaming consoles.”
