Confirmed Nottingham Forest team vs Tottenham: Nuno makes bold call for Premier League clash

Nottingham Forest face Tottenham in the Premier League this evening in desperate need of a victory. Everton and Luton both claimed important results yesterday and the Reds can’t get left behind.

Forest defeated Fulham 3-1 on Tuesday night to inject some life into their survival push. Now, Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to continue on that performance this evening.

The Reds don’t have a particularly good record against Tottenham. Today’s hosts need points themselves to kick on and try to claim a place in next season’s Champions League.

Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest – The tale of the tape

The reverse fixture of this contest was the final game of Steve Cooper’s tenure as manager of the club. Forest were beaten 2-0 after goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.

Last season, Forest were also beaten in both games against Spurs in the Premier League. The City Ground clash last season also finished 2-0, whilst the game in North London ended in a 3-1 defeat for Forest.

Forest did knock Spurs out of the Carabao Cup last season on their way to the semi-final of the competition. Renan Lodi and Jesse Lingard scored on that famous night for the Reds.

In total, Forest have beat Tottenham 37 times, with Spurs coming out on top on 58 occasions. The two teams have drawn 29 times and perhaps a point would be a useful outcome tonight.
