'No longer the same club': After recent Hammers exit, player makes big claim about West Ham

Thilo Kehrer left West Ham United to join Monaco on loan for the rest of the season in the January transfer window.

West Ham allowed Thilo Kehrer to join the Ligue 1 side after they agreed an obligation to buy him for around £10 million, as long as he plays a certain amount of games.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 27-year-old to the London Stadium from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 for around £13 million.

However, he was often the target for criticism from the West Ham fans, although he did recently suggest that he was never played in his best position during his time in East London – centre-back.

Kehrer seems to be loving life out in France. He’s definitely more suited to Ligue 1 than he is the Premier League.

Now the German has spoke about West Ham and made a big claim about us…

Thilo Kehrer said something that will make West Ham fans feel very proud

The 27-year-old was never consistent enough for the Hammers.

However, his best moment for us came when he came on as a 60th minute substitute for West Ham in the UEFA Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina.

Kehrer put in an incredible display for us that night, and he’ll always be remembered fondly for it.

Now Kehrer has made a claim about how the Hammers have changed as a club since that magical night in Prague, as quoted by the Guardian:

“It was a big disappointment in not starting in the final but I managed to change my emotion from frustration and disappointment into something positive. Even if there was disappointment before the match, the joy by the end was even bigger. We won a big title and wrote history for the club. When you see West Ham today, it is no longer the same club, or it is but it is seen in a completely different light.”

Love to hear that from Thilo.

I agree with him as well. We are a different club now with real European pedigree.

Thilo Kehrer played his part in the West Ham transformation, and we should never forget that, despite the 27-year-old’s inconsistency during his time at the London Stadium.
