Erik ten Hag predicts what Jurgen Klopp said to his players after Liverpool vs Man United

Erik ten Hag has made his prediction about what Jurgen Klopp will have said after Liverpool’s draw with Manchester United.

This was a game to forget for Jurgen Klopp. He’s created plenty of indelible memories against Manchester United during his nine years in England.

However, yesterday was a match Klopp will not look back on with fondness. Especially if it prevents Liverpool from lifting the Premier League title.

Klopp said Liverpool dominated Manchester United in his post-match reaction. The Liverpool boss may be right.

The Reds created plenty of chances. However, they just couldn’t translate those chances into goals. Liverpool should have been winning by a large margin at half-time.

Instead, they were only 1-0 up with plenty of chances squandered and that gave United a lifeline in the second-half. Erik ten Hag’s men were able to crawl their way back into the game.

Erik ten Hag predicts what Jurgen Klopp will say

In the end, it was only thanks to the brilliant contribution of Harvey Elliott, that Liverpool were even able to salvage a draw. But even that will leave fans with a bitter taste in their mouths.

The 21-year-old’s reaction after the game pretty much summed how most Liverpool fans will have felt.

For Manchester United, a draw did little as well in their aspirations for European football. So both sides will feel disappointed by the result.

Speaking after the game, Erik ten Hag said that it was mistakes that cost them, and predicted Jurgen Klopp would say the same.

“Of course, we needed a moment where we should take advantage of a mistake from Liverpool,” Ten Hag said as per Manchester United’s official website.

“Probably, Jurgen Klopp will have said the same that young players, we know that they can make mistakes if they are inexperienced and they need such experience. Our team, our players, the young players, learned from the first half, and stepped up in the second half.”

Not just mistakes that cost Liverpool

This was a game filled with errors and mistakes which in the end cost both sides. No one will want to put the blame on Jarell Quansah, but even he will admit he should have done better.

Thankfully, the youngster reacted brilliantly after making that mistake and proved why he is regarded as one of the best young Premier League defenders.

It was also nice of Jurgen Klopp to rally in defence of Quansah after the game, showing he still trusts the young defender.

It’s not fair to blame the draw on Quansah or other individual errors solely. The truth is it was Liverpool’s lack of toothlessness in front of goal which cost them the result.
