A 62-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck while trying to cross Route 516 in Old Bridge on Thursday night, authorities said.
Charles P. Breitweiser III was hit in the area of White Oak Lane at 10:49 p.m, Old Bridge police said.
Breitweiser, of Old Bridge, died of his injuries at an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation, but police say it was not a hit-and-run.
