With seven games to go in the 2023/24 calendar, the Eagles sit just five points above the Premier League bottom three having not secured back-to-back wins all season.
There have been some performers better than others at Selhurst Park this campaign, giving Oliver Glasner a lot to think about when taking charge of the club from Roy Hodgson in February.

Crystal Palace dominate one unwanted top-10 list in the Premier League
It’s always positive as a club to see your players in a top-10 list when it comes to player ratings in the Premier League although, Crystal Palace will want to look away from one emerging chart.
As provided by WhoScored, three out of a 10-player list of decreasing performers represent Palace, with representatives of the club taking first, fourth and tenth place in the site’s ‘biggest rating decrease’ table.
WhoScored based the table on the average decrease in average match ratings since October 6th 2023, with Joachim Andersen leading the pack with a decrease of 1.00.
Further down the list is Odsonne Edouard whose average rating has lowered by 0.70, with Marc Guehi questionably coming in 10th with a drop of 0.52.
Why has the Crystal Palace trio seen their averages drop?
It’s a difficult table for the two Crystal Palace defenders to be named in, considering that the Eagles have kept six clean sheets this season and have conceded the eighth-highest number of goals in the league with 52 so far.
Andersen has needed to adapt to change throughout the campaign, with his partner in defence switching on multiple occasions due to injury.
The 27-year-old made a poor impression with the Palace fans after getting into an altercation with the away supporters at Brighton in February, adding a grey area to his underwhelming season as a whole.
It’s a surprise to see Guehi included in the list, with his rating dipping for similar frailties of Palace as a unit and their inability to remain organised in defence.
The Englishman has been out of action since February due to a knee injury and will hope to bolster his performance levels if he returns this season.
As for Edouard, things are slightly more understandable as the striker has fallen down the pecking order behind Jean-Philippe Mateta of late.
The Frenchman started the season in fine form, scoring four goals in his opening five Premier League games however, has since scored just three times, seeing him slip down the pecking order.
There’s still time for the Eagles named to redeem themselves in what has been an overall lacklustre season for the South Londoners.
